Betty Koelzer, 93, of Falls City, NE, passed away November 17, 2018 at Falls City. She was born April 4, 1925 at Rulo, NE to John and Edna Mae (Knepper) Schulenberg. She married Bernard “Barney” Koelzer on February 21, 1946 at Falls City.

He passed away February 20, 1010. Betty was raised in rural Richardson County and graduated Falls City High School in 1943. She then worked at the Falls City Creamery.

When married the couple established their home on a farm east of Falls City for one year and then moved into Falls City. She was a homemaker her entire life and she cleaned houses for a number of years after she and Barney retired and moved to Falls City in 1987. She was a member of Sts.

Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Betty is survived by her sons, Steve of Sumter, SC, Tim of Rulo, Bob and his wife Pam of Eaton, CO, eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, six sisters, four brothers and a granddaughter, Danielle Nicole Koelzer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Thomas Dunavan officiating. Interment will be in Falls City Catholic Cemetery.

A Parish Rosary will be recited on Tuesday at 6:30 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with family greeting friends afterwards.
