Susie Smith, 64, of Falls City, NE, passed away January 3, 2019 at Falls City. She was born August 19, 1954 at Hiawatha, KS to J. T. and Imogene (Ewing) Wagner. She married Chuck Smith on August 5, 1978 at Falls City.

Susie graduated Northeast High School at Lincoln in 1972. She graduated cosmetology school in Lincoln and returned to Falls City and was a beautician. When married the couple established their home in Falls City and she continued working for various beauty shops and also worked in the restaurant and hospitality industry in Falls City.

She retired in 2000 and helped care for her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church (20th and Towle St.) and Ruth Circle of her church. Susie is survived by her husband, Chuck of Falls City, daughters, Rachel Vitale and her husband Joe of Falls City, Elysia McGill and her husband Matt of Salem, NE, sisters, Jean Ann Sweezey and her husband Dennis of Cameron, MO, Peggy Moyer of Hiawatha and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Her memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church (20th and Towle St.) with Reverend Andrew Chavanak officiating. No viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
