Barbara Shafer, 81, of Falls City, NE, passed away March 25, 2019 at Falls City. She was born February 16, 1938 at Maud, OK to Marion and Clara (Foshee) Daniels. She married James Frederick Shafer on June 8, 1953 at Oklahoma.

He passed away in 2001. Barbara was raised at Maud and when married the couple established their home in Barada. She was a homemaker, farm wife and worked in the orchards before the freeze of 1947.

She and her husband loved to travel for tractor pulls. She moved to Eastview in 2001 and has lived there since. Barbara is survived by her daughters, Sandra Berthold and her husband John of Plattsmouth, NE, Deb Griffiths and her husband Don of Salem, NE, Connie Trotter and her husband Jeff of Plattsmouth, son, James Frederick Shafer, Jr. and his wife Michelle of Colorado Springs, CO, brothers, Jimmy Daniels and his wife Brenda of Verdon, NE, Johnny Daniels and his wife Elaine of Tulsa, OK, sister, Maxine Starks of Wichita, KS, seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Friday March 29, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Harris Cemetery with Pastor Jerry Yount officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
