Hope Zentner, 108, of Falls City, NE, passed away March 24, 2019 at Falls City. She was born March 7, 1911 at Central City, NE to Mahlon and Mary (Pike) Cheever. She married Frank Zentner on September 7, 1929 at Falls City.

He passed away February 28, 1984. Hope moved to Falls City in 1915 with her parents and graduated from Falls City High School in 1929. She worked for Dr. H. R. Miner for 10 years and for Chaney Furniture for 30 years.

She and her husband had been partners in Chaney-Zentner Used Furniture Store. She was a member of First Christian Church at Falls City. Hope is survived by her son, Gary and his wife, LaVina of Falls City, grandson, Brian of Hiawatha and a great-granddaughter, Emily Barrand and her husband Phoenix of Hiawatha.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Ramona Faith, sisters, Elva and Gladys Cheever, brothers, Elmer, Elwin, Harold and her twin Harry Cheever. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Steele Cemetery with Reverend Fay Ann Blaylock officiating. No viewing, visitation or book to sign.
