Glenn Rieger, 100, of Falls City, NE, passed away November 9, 2018 at Falls City. He was born April 22, 1918 at Falls City to Daniel and Amanda (Krumm) Rieger. He married Helen Hill on October 12, 1947 at Falls City.

She passed away March 7, 2014. Glenn was raised in the Falls City area and graduated from Falls City High School in 1935 and then he farmed. In 1940 he moved to California and worked at Consolidated Air Craft until being drafted in the U. S. Army Air Corp for one year and then returned to San Diego and built B-24 planes.

He was drafted again into the Air Corp and served three years before returning to Falls City and working for Edgar Scheitel hauling livestock. Later working as the credit manager for O. A. Cooper Company in Humboldt, later moving to Hiawatha, KS where he established his household moving business knows as Rieger Van Service. He retired in 1983 and moved to Falls City in 2002.

He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church at Hiawatha and member of Home White Post #66 American Legion of Hiawatha for over 75 years. Glenn is survived by his brother, Donald of Council Bluffs, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers and three sisters.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Steele Cemetery with Reverend Fay Ann Blaylock officiating. Military graveside honors by Falls City Ceremonial Honor Guard. Open visitation and viewing will begin Monday afternoon.
