Carl “Pete” Larsen, 81, of Nebraska City, NE, passed away November 20, 2018 at Ashland, NE. He was born April 28, 1937 at Sabetha, KS to Carl and Marie (Boggess) Larsen. He married Patricia Dunn on May 21, 1963 at Hiawatha, KS.

She passed away September 16, 2008. Pete was raised at Salem and graduated Salem High School in 1954. He then enlisted in the U. S. Air Force.

Upon his discharged he returned to Salem and worked as a farm laborer. He then worked construction in Lincoln in 1969 until moving to Omaha in 1971 to work as a metal worker at Continental Can. He moved back to Dawson in 1980 and retired from Continental Can in 1987.

He moved to Auburn after the passing of his wife. He was an avid Husker football and volleyball fan and military supporter. Pete is survived by his children, Kelli Strode of Nebraska City, Bruce of Dawson, NE, brother, Delmar of Alaska, sisters, Diane Mishler and her husband Fred of Ft.

Collins, CO, Madeline Shaw of Falls City, granddaughters, Kelsey Akers of Ashland and Kylie Strode of Monterey, CA, and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and half brothers, Harold and Louis Larsen. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.

Inurnment will be in Maple Cemetery. Military graveside honors by Falls City Ceremonial Honor Guard.
