Obituary for Donnie Gene Ritter III Another Angel is amongst us, Donnie (Donald) Gene Ritter III, as of Thursday, May 17, 2018. He indulged us with his presence on March 24, 1996, in Fullerton, California, checking out the world curiously and joyfully, which became a branded trademark of Angel Donnie. He learned a lot about life through horses, since they taught him a lot about himself.
He was the kind of person who captured your attention with his smile, charm and silly nature. A born natural in everything he did. He truly knew how to brighten someone’s day and to be there for his friends.
Angel Donnie was an incredible man, who loved to go hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, sorting, camping, hiking, and rafting. He volunteered where he could and worked hard all the time. The outdoors was a great passion of his, along with mimicking geese with just using his own voice.
No store-bought goose call was necessary for this Angel! His intelligence and competitiveness surpassed that smile every day, which made those talks, bon-fires, and the art of hanging out with him whether at home, the river, mountains, camping, or at work even better and more memorable! Angel Donnie made friends easily and understood the brotherhood of Servite, Lacrosse, and simply friendships with people.
He treated everyone like family and loved to teach people things in life, such as camping with the essence of a campfire or eating duck, lamb, or fish. He had a love for learning, adventuring, and friendships, including having the girls practice their beauty school techniques on him to having the guys over for major truck repairs after wheeling. He knew where he stood as a man, a country boy at heart with an incredible dynamic personality, truly an angel that loved his friends and was there for them no matter what!
He would even reach out a hand to those on the lacrosse or soccer field that fell and could use a hand back up, regardless of what team they were on! Angel Donnie’s remarkable life will be missed and cherished by all who crossed his path since he made friendships turn into family. There are numerous friends and family survivors including his mother, Denise Ritter; his father, Don Ritter; and his special Oregon friends, Brooke Albert and Cassidy Worden.
And, don’t forget his fur baby dog, Trump! Angel Donnie’s presence in our life has left many remarkable memories, fabulous epic journeys and adventures with special talks that we keep dear to our hearts. He simply will always be cherished forever, and we are proud of the man in the mirror, proud of you always!
