Obituary for Donnie H. Taylor Donnie H. Taylor, 95, of Tyrone passed away July 9, 2018. Donnie worked several different jobs during her life, but her main “career” was caring for her family. Donnie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, a wonderful homemaker and an outstanding cook.

Donnie was born June 14, 1923 in Charlton County, GA. She moved to Atlanta during WWII where she married Jesse Branford Taylor, a decorated WWII Army paratrooper. Donnie was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Taylor; parents, Daniel and Lettie Martin; son, Dan B. Taylor; sisters, Viola and Alma Padgett, and Juanita Henrick.

She leaves behind her son, Randall (J.R.) Taylor and his wife, Deborah; daughter-in-law, Phyllis; grandchildren, Dan and his wife, Monica, Michael and his wife, Silvia, Tristin; great-grandchildren, Madison and Matthew. As a faithful disciple of Jesus Christ, Mom, Donnie, is home now, “May the Lord watch between me and thee while we are absent one from another”- Genesis 31:49. A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 11 o’clock at Sherwood Memorial Park with her grandson, Daniel S. Taylor officiating.
