Dora Arlene Abbott Woods was born on January 4, 1956 in Fresno, California to Charles Welsey Abbott and Charlotte Jeanette (Averill) Kelso. Dora passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2018 following a very courageous battle with cancer. She was cared for and surrounded by her loving family when she passed away.

Dora was raised in Canton, Illinois with her brothers, Paul and Bill and her sister, Leighann. Dora moved to Idaho in 1982 where she could live near the mountains. She loved the outdoors.

… Read More » She spent most of her life as a provider, always assisting and caring for her family and friends. She spent extra time volunteering at the Salvation Army and visited many people in nursing homes. Dora loved reading the Bible and truly lived its teachings.

Dora knew the Bible well enough that she often quoted passages. She was known for her loving, caring and compassionate life. A beautiful characteristic of Dora was being very forthcoming, always clearly stating what was on her mind.

Her family was most important and dear to her as well as her fur babies. Dora was preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings, Paul and Leighann. She will be greatly missed by her survivors, her husband, Ron; her daughter, Amy Stevinson; and grandchildren, Jacob Duncan, Lucas Duncan and Saira Stevinson all of Pocatello.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Mountain View Cemetery, section 37 East in Pocatello. The celebration of life will be held following the graveside at 2:00 p.m. at the Rock Church at 740 West Center St. in Pocatello. Please share memories, photographs and condolences on Dora’s tribute wall.
