OBITUARY Doris M. Bice December 20, 1919 – November 27, 2018 Doris Oxendine Bice passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, Nov. 27th, 2018 just one month shy of her 99th birthday. Doris was born in Tuscaloosa but moved to Auburn as a young girl and grew to love her Auburn Tigers.

She was born to parents Ernest and Stella Oxendine on December 20, 1919. She is preceded in death by both parents, her husband of 72 years Howard S. Bice, son William E. Bice, sister Stella Ruth Wright. She is survived by her daughters Carolyn D. Bice, Judy Bice Hamre (Dod), grandsons Chris Bice (Mariann), Trey Hamre, Mylinda Bice Browning (Rick) Michael Bice (Christy); four grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 10 great, great grandchildren and 1 great, great, great grandchild.

Doris also leaves behind her very special friends Maxine and Manlif Barnes and Louise Prestwood. The family would like to express their extreme gratitude to a very special person and friend Sandra Gamble who took care of Mom for several years and who Mom grew to love as her own. Also, Jaquita Henderson who worked her way into Mom’s heart in such a short period of time.

Visitation will be Friday November 30, 2018 at Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel at Noon with a graveside service at Oakland Cemetery in Ensley at 1:30 following visitation. The Family would also like to thank the hospice group of Amedisys for all of their support and kindness.
