Obituary for Doris Peterson The private graveside memorial service for Doris Peterson of Aldrich, will be held at a later date in the Minnesota Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls, MN. Doris, age 86, passed away on June 9, 2018, at the Lakewood Health System Care Center, Staples, MN. Doris was born to John and Martha (Haldiman) Friedli on April 27, 1932 in Minneapolis, MN.

She graduated with the Staples High School Class of 1950 and worked at Honeywell in Minneapolis for 10 years. Doris was united in marriage with Burton Peterson in June of 1962, in Brainerd, MN. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Aldrich.

Community members will remember them as the owners of the Aldrich Cheese Mart for 32 years until retiring in 1993. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Aldrich. Doris loved being out in nature – enjoying the beautiful trees, colorful flowers and the various birds.

Most of all, Doris enjoyed time with her grandsons, along with her many nieces and nephews. Preceding Doris in death were her husband Burton on February 14, 2016; son Michael Genosky; parents John and Martha; brother John Friedli; and sister, Marian Sinz Survivors include her grandsons Kevin Genosky of Cold Spring and Justin Genosky of Aldrich; two great-grandchildren.
