MOORE, DOROTHY ALICE “Honey”, age 97, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, January 7th, 2019 at the Ohio Masonic Home surrounded by her family. She was born October 12th, 1921 in Etna, Pennsylvania the daughter of Howard and Clara (Wobb) Lieb. She was a member of Glen Echo Presbyterian Church in Columbus for 56 years and then become a member of Enon United Methodist Church in 2008.

Honey served our country in the United States Navy during World War II. She was a secretary to the President… Read More » of H. J. Heinz Co. until moving to Ohio in 1953. She and husband later settled in Delaware County where she loved square dancing, garden club and church activities.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kari and Bill Howard of Fairborn; two grandchildren: Jeremy (Kari) Howard of Enon and Jill Howard of Dayton; two great grandsons: Eli and Luke Howard. She was preceded by her parents, a brother, Raymond and her husband of 62 years, Robert “Bob” Moore who passed away in 2008. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 14th at 10:30 at LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME, SPRINGFIELD with Pastor Sue Holloway officiating.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Kingswood Memorial Park, Lewis Center, Ohio. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Hospice of Miami Valley, 46 North Detroit St., Xenia 45385.
