Anderson, age 98 of Dodgeville, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at Bloomfield HealthCare. Dorothy was born on September 8, 1920 in Clyde Township to Henry and Cora (Reed) Anderson. She was baptized, confirmed and married in Otter Creek Lutheran Church and was later a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Madison.

She married Glenwood Anderson of Dodgeville on June 18, 1941 and they enjoyed 53 plus years together that were filled with life, family, music, and baking (especially Norwegian foods). They also enjoyed traveling, taking many wonderful trips with the highlight being a trip to Norway in 1976. There they visited the Valdres, Oslo area enjoying stone churches, beautiful country and wonderful people.

Dorothy worked at the Higbee Hotel, Cozy Café and Narvey’s restaurant. She also worked at Badger Ordinance for five and a half years and at the Dodgeville School District for many years. She also enjoyed working with children in 4H, the Latto Homemakers and all “close to home” activities.

And who could forget house parties, raggamuffining, dances and card games in her earlier years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenwood on August 26, 1994; her parents and her daughter, Susan Bull. Dorothy is survived by two children, Linda Larsen of Dodgeville and Samuel Anderson of Denver, CO; her son-in-law, Lester Bull of Loveland, CO three grandchildren, Darlene (Cory) Palzkill of Mineral Point; Todd Anderson of Dodgeville and Chris (Amber) Bull of Loveland, CO; three great grandchildren, Cooper Palzkill; Ethan Bull and Evan Bull as well as many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 31, 2018 at the Lulloff-Peterson-Houck Funeral Home in Dodgeville. Pastor Mark Bartels will officiate with burial in East Bethlehem Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Memorials to Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Madison or the Iowa County Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
