Dorothy “Dot” Helen Sosa “Nana” August 8, 1938 ~ July 18, 2018 “Together Again” OGDEN–Our beloved Mom, Nana, and Friend, Dorothy “Dot” Helen Sosa peacefully left this earth on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 surrounded by her loving family and friends. Dorothy entered this world on August 8, 1938 in Del Norte, Colorado, a daughter of Ben and Andrea Martinez, one of 16 children. On May 23, 1958, Dorothy married the love of her life, partner and lifelong companion Sammy Ray Sosa.

They were happily married for 49 years. Dorothy enjoyed camping, fishing, watching game shows, going to Wendover with her sisters, and spending time with her kids and grandkids. Surviving are her three daughters and two sons, Damone Sosa, Denise (Robert) Archuleta, Lori (Jan) Page, Annette (Todd) Hoskins, and Randy (Maria) Sosa; 11 grandchildren, Anthony and Paul Archuleta, Ryan (Nicole) Archuleta, Keaton and Tanner George, Sami (Carlos) Enriquez, Curtis (Jamie) Page, Jessica (Randy) Rumsey, Lance and Logan Sosa, and Sharee Guillen; and four great-grandchildren, Jaxden George, Kylee, Maddie, and Jaxon Page.

Dorothy is also survived by her two brothers and five sisters, Jenny, Inez, Katherine, Rosie (Donna), Josephine, Archie (Rosie), Alfonso (Virginia); and very special friends, Pat “Kahuna” and Linda and Rich Sowerby; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam; her daughter, Joyce; and her parents, four brothers and four sisters. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. with Rosary at 7:45 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd. Special thanks to Uncle Henry Sosa, Sharee Guillen, Dr. Jeffrey Call and staff, Drs.

Jeff and Alex Rocco, Mclane, Rose and Tammy from Dignity. The family would like to invite friends and family to a luncheon at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 1:30 p.m. following the graveside.
