She was born on July 14th, 1931 in Omaha, Nebraska. She was the daughter of Lois and Merville Stewart.

She graduated from Ogden High School. She met the love of her life, Paul Henry Carey, and was married in the Community United Methodist Church by Reverend Augusta Jackley on October 6th, 1950. Our father passed away on September 12, 2014 after 63 years of marriage.

In 1957, Paul and Joyce started the motorcycle business, Carey’s Cycle Center, which continues to this day. Our mother was a God-fearing woman who balanced church and motorcycle races throughout our lives. Our family was her pride and joy! She is survived by her daughters, Pauline Jones, Nancy (Scott) Jones, Patsy Winchester (Dennis Taylor), Diana (Sam) McCashland and Caron (Brad) Boswell, ten grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren (with another on the way), two great-great grandchildren and her sister, Donna (John) Mikalonis. She was proceeded in death by her husband, her son (Stewart), her sister (Sharon Durst) as well as her parents.

Our mother was always referred to as a sweet and loving person who always had a positive attitude. We will forever remember and miss her but we know she is where she wanted to be and that’s with our father and her son.
