Dorothy E. Knelly, 100, of Berwick, passed away Monday, May 6, 2019 at her home. She was born July 14, 1918 in Beach Haven, a daughter of the late John and Venice (Brown) Hess. She attended Berwick Schools.

Dorothy enjoyed camping and belonged to the Trail Blazers Camping Group. She is a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Mifflinville, and the Order of the Eastern Star in Berwick. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Carl “Pete” Knelly, who passed away in 2002, three brothers; Truman, Harold and Earl Hess and a sister Althea Snyder.

She is survived by a son Dale Knelly and his wife Jane of Berwick, daughter Patricia and her husband Gary Mausteller of Mifflinville, four grandchildren; Ryan Knelly and his wife Debbie, Lora Knelly Thomas and her husband Bradley Thomas, David Mausteller and his companion Michelle Owens, Allen Mausteller and his wife Tracy, and seven great grandchildren; Kenidee, Brittany and Erika Thomas and Griffin and Machaella Knelly and Laura and Raychel Mausteller. Services will be Friday at 2:00 pm at James L. Hinckley Jr. Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 1024 North Market St. Berwick, with her Pastor Brian Vasey officiating. Burial will be at Elan Memorial Park.
