Dorothy Harnish passed away December 24, 2017 at the age of 90. Dorothy was born in Omaha, Nebraska but lived most of her life in Algonquin, Illinois. She moved to Arizona 8 years ago to be with her family.

She was preceded in death by Vern, her beloved husband of almost 50 years. She is survived by daughters Candace Downing and Sherry Taylor, two grandchildren Veronica Green and William Green and 3 great grandchildren (Logan, Sidney and Mackenzie Green). Dorothy spent time working as a Sunday School teacher and she, along with her many friends, worked tirelessly at many church functions.

She was also very proud to be softball manager for Algonquin’s girls softball. Honoring her request, she will be reunited with husband Vern sharing his burial site in Algonquin, IL. Burial to be in early spring.

A memorial visitation honoring Dorothy will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Willow Funeral Home 1415 W. Algonquin Rd. , (one mile west of Rt. 31) Algonquin.
