Dorothy Margurett (Lynch) Kuypers, of Ann Arbor, Michigan, formerly of Jackson, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 13, 2019, at the age of 91. Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, Harold Kuypers. She will be dearly missed by her children, Maurice Kuypers (Denise Rutherford) of Stillwater, Minnesota and Linda Kuypers of Ypsilanti, Michigan;four grandchildren, Ethan and Elena Kuypers, and Kathleen Jenkins and Christopher Kuypers.

She was also preceded in death by her brother, James Lynch, and her sister, Marjorie Daugherty. Dorothy was devoted to her family and welcomed everyone she met with love and generosity of spirit. She was a long-time member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Jackson, Michigan; her life was a reflection of her faith.

Dorothy enjoyed cooking and baking and was at her happiest spending time with her family and doing for others. The family will receive friends from 3 pm until 4 pm at Nie Family Funeral Home, 3767 West Liberty Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan on Sunday, May 26, 2019. A Celebration of Life Service will take place at 4 pm.

According to her wishes cremation has taken place. Dorothy’s remains will be interred with her husband at Fort Custer National Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at: act.
