Dorothy L. Jones, 91, of Magnolia, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on May 18,2019 at Lakes at Maumelle Health and Rehabilitation, Maumelle, Ar. Dorothy was born August 17, 1927 in Smackover, Arkansas to the late Robert E. and Dessie Williamson. After graduating High School in Village, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Chester P. Jones on June 14, 1945.

He preceded her in death October 24, 2010. They were married for 65 blissful years. A loving Mother and homemaker, Dorothy was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends.

Even with a busy household, Dorothy always seemed to find time to help with family, neighbors or friends in need. She was a member of College View Baptist Church. With her unwavering faith in God, Dorothy enjoyed Bible study and Ladies Auxiliary activities.

She is survived by her children and spouses; Robert (Vicki) Jones, The Woodlands, TX, Bill (Dora) Jones, Searcy, AR, Larry (Anita) Jones, Conway, AR, Greg Jones, Magnolia, AR, and daughter-in-law Barbara Jones, Cincinnati, OH; 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by a brother, Bob (Betty) Williamson, Midland, TX and a sister Barbara (Duane) Keith, Haughton, LA. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Jeff A. Jones in 1998 and a grandson, Joshua Jones in 2014, brothers, Vertice Williamson, ElDees Williamson, James “Tadpole” Williamson and a sister Clara Williamson Brooks.

The family will receive friends on Friday May 24, 2019 from 5-8 PM at Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 420 N Jackson, Magnolia, AR 71753. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held the following day on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Lewis Funeral Home, Inc with Bro. Bob Gunnels officiating.

Burial will follow at Antioch East Cemetery. The family gives our utmost gratitude to Louise Jones Wyrick, the Staff of Lakes at Maumelle, Kindred Hospice of Conway and everyone who provided care for our Mother. To sign the online guest book or to share a memory visit www.
