Dorothy Mae Gribble passed away May 4, 2019 in Phoenix, AZ. Dottie was born November 24, 1939 in Ottumwa, Iowa to L. Basil Pike and Helen Mae “Gillette” Pike. She was a longtime resident of Carthage, but lived in Arizona for over 40 years.

She enjoyed traveling shopping, visiting with family and friends, and most recently pedicures and Starbucks Carmel frappacinos. Dottie is survived by her children, Darryl W. Reed and Pamela A. Reed-Douglass; son-in-law, Peter J. Douglass; step-daughter, Rachel (Mandy) Gribble and step-son, Tony L. Gribble, Jr.; one sister, Irene M. Rose of Carthage; beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many loving extended family and friends. Dottie was preceded in death by one daughter, Janice A. Reed; one son, Ronald R. Reed; and husband, Tony L. Gribble, Sr. Dottie, your light in this world will be deeply missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Ulmer Funeral Home in Carthage. Contributions may be made to the Lafayette House in care of Ulmer Funeral Home. Online condolence may be made at www.
