Dorothy’s Obituary Dorothy Randall On the morning of March 24, 2019, Dorothy Randall passed into everlasting peace. She was the oldest child of Marion and Dolly (Reynolds) Hill who preceded her in death. Dorothy grew up and attended school in Schuyler County where she graduated from High School in 1946.

On June 14, 1947 she married Hugh Randall. To this union four children were born with one daughter dying in infancy. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Linda and husband Bob Cox of Superior, Nebraska; sons, Bert and wife Cindy Randall of LaPlata, Missouri and Bobby of Muscatine, Iowa.

Also surviving are six grandchildren and six great grandchildren; her sisters, Ruth Thompson of Kirksville, Missouri and Anna Gillaspie of Glenwood, Missouri; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; her brother, Harold Wayne Hill; two brothers-in-law, Gerald Thompson and Everett Gillaspie and her sister-in-law, Juanita Hill. Dorothy spent her adult life in the Kirksville area.

She and her husband owned a farm and she also worked at the International Shoe Factory, Lambert Manufacturing, and Northeast Regional Medical Center. She was a faithful member of the Church of the Nazarene, where she formed many life long friendships. She was also very active in the Order of the Eastern Star, where she served in several capacities over the years.

Dorothy loved her family and she loved Jesus. She will be greatly missed. Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Friday (April 5, 2019) at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home.

Eastern Star and Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Friday (April 5, 2019) at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery. Memorials in memory of Dorothy are suggested to St. Jude’s.
