Dorothy W. Yothers, 81, of Somerset, formerly of Melcroft, passed away unexpectedly, Sun. Jan. 27, 2019 at her home.

She was born May 18, 1937 in Connellsville a daughter of the late William August and Anna Nevada Swink Bielstein. Dorothy was a graduate of Connellsville High School with the class 1955. Prior to her retirement she worked in housekeeping for the Ramada Inn in Somerset.

She attended the Happy Valley Baptist Church in Somerset. Dorothy enjoyed crocheting and cross stitching. Dorothy will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her loving children Ann Mowry and husband Dale of Normalville, Barbara Yoder and husband Brian of Somerset, Janice Yothers of Boswell, Jerri Wengerd and husband Larry of Grantsville, MD.

, and Cindy Berkey of Bedford, her 13 grandchildren, her 13 great grandchildren, and her brother John J. Bielstein and wife Patricia of Connellsville. In addition to her parents Dorothy was predeceased by her husband George R. “Bud” Yothers, who passed away on March 19, 1983, her sister Mary Ellen Geyer and her brother William Carl Bielstein. Family and friends will be received Wed, from 2-8 PM in the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home Inc, at the corner of Route 711 and 146 Municipal Rd.

Melcroft (724-455-2310) where a Funeral Service will be held Thur. at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Tim Beatty officiating.
