Obituary for Dorrie Dehn Dorrie (Dorothy) Dehn, of Lake Villa, passed peacefully on Wednesday night of May 23, 2018. She was born on April 6, 1933 in Detroit, MI, to the late Norman and Marie Rivais. Dorrie was a kind, gentle soul who had a zest for life.

She loved to laugh and have fun with all her family. Most importantly, she was enormously protective and cared for her family deeply. She had a vast array of activities that she enjoyed: fishing, golfing, gambling, listening to music, and going out to the movies and dinner.

A lover of traveling, Dorrie and her family vacationed in Florida, the Bahamas, and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. She was also a film actress and model. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend of many.

Dorrie was one of the greatest natural talents that the world has ever known. She is survived by her son Billy Dehn; sister Maura (Al) Derey; adopted daughter Jeanne Jorgensen; and nieces and nephews Tim, Denise, Beth, Chris, Christine, David, Patrick, and Colleen. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Dehn; sister Patricia (late Robert) Bott; and nephew Bobby.

Memorial visitation will be held on Fri. June 1, 2018 from 4 to 7 pm at Ringa Funeral Home, 122 S. Milwaukee Ave. , Lake Villa, IL 60046.

On Sat. June 2, 2018, a visitation will continue from 10 to 11 am at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 135 S Milwaukee Ave, Lake Villa, IL 60046 with memorial mass to follow at 11 am. Her light will live on.
