Dorsey’s Obituary Dorsey Willard Odom, age 77, of Jonesboro died Tuesday, February 5, 2019. He was born in Columbus, Georgia to the late Demsey and Jessie Odom. He was a member of the U.S. Armed Forces serving in the Army while stationed in Korea.

He was a Mason for 43 years. He retired from the Atlanta Ford Assembly Plant after 30 years of service. Dorsey enjoyed his early years of retirement on Lake Lanier where he found enjoyment on his houseboat and with his many lifelong friends.

Mr. Odom is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carolyn Sue Odom; sons, Darrell Odom and Darian (Yvonne) Odom; grandchildren, Anthony Odom, Cole Odom, Joshua Odom; and sister, Wanda Brown. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 8, 2019 at The Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors. Interment will be at 3:00 PM on Monday, February 11, 2019 at Georgia National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Masonic Children’s Home, 1417 Nottingham Dr., Macon, GA 31211 or the Wounded Warrior Project at www. woundedwarriorproject.org.
