OBITUARY Mrs. Dorthy Jo Hyde October 25, 1930 – October 11, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Dorthy was born on October 25, 1930 in Henderson County, Texas to parents Otis and Viola (Rogers) Eddlemon and entered into eternal rest on October 11, 2018 at the age of 87. Dorthy graduated from Eustace High School in 1948. She worked in the local banks for 50 plus years and during that time received several awards in banking.

Dorthy was a member of Eastern Star for 50 plus years as well, received several awards, served as Treasurer and Worthy Matron. She was also a lifetime member of Mabank Gardner Club and Republican Women’s Group. Dorthy was a very kind, generous Christian lady.

She enjoyed traveling, quilting, knitting and crocheting. Dorthy loved being outdoors working in her garden. She was a very dedicated and faithful member of the Presbyterian Church of Mabank.

Dorthy was a lifetime member and served as Treasurer for 50 plus years. She was an amazing lady who will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Dorthy was preceded in death by her parents and husband Gene Hyde, who passed in February of 2016.

She is survived by her niece Debbie Crawford, nephew Willie Dee Ballard, niece Dorothy Hunter, niece Jo Stone, niece Joyce Harris, sister-in-law Florence Eddlemon, many more nieces and nephews, other loving family members and lifelong friends. FAMILY Otis and Viola (Rogers) Eddlemon, Parents Gene Hyde, Husband Debbie Crawford, Niece Willie Dee Ballard, Nephew Dorothy Hunter, Niece JO Stone, Niece Joyce Harris, Niece Florence Eddlemon, Sister-in-law Dorothy leaves behind many more nieces and nephews, other loving family members and many more lifelong friends.
