OBITUARY Dottie Z. Frum October 20, 1940 – July 18, 2018 Dottie Was An Awesome Mother… A Loving Wife and Grandmother Who Loved To Play Board and Card Games with Her Grandson Erick… Dottie Z. Frum, age 77, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at the Caromont Regional Medical Center. Dottie was everyone’s #1 Cheerleader in her family. She was the mom who kept the family together and made sure that the Traditional Thanksgiving meals, Christmas celebrations and other family events were always remembered.

She was a member of Saint Peter’s Episcopal Church of Charlotte, North Carolina. Dottie loved going on Cruises, going to the Beach and eating out. A few of her favorite hobbies were reading, crafts, such as, Crewel work with stitching and making beaded calendars.

Dottie loved writing humorous columns for the Gaston Gazette. She was a very charitable person with her time and her money. Dottie is a lady who will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.

Those left behind to cherish Dottie’s memories and carry on her legacy are her loving and devoted husband of 49 years, David Lee Frum of Gastonia, North Carolina; daughter: Becky Frum of Richmond, Virginia; son and daughter in law and grandson: Dave, Michelle and Erick Frum of Belmont, North Carolina; sister: Helen Z. Barr of Wheeling, West Virginia; niece: Lynne Jeffries of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; nephew: David Barr of Norfolk, Virginia. Dottie was the daughter of the late John Kevork Zorian and Rebecca Dorothy Talbot Zorian of Wheeling, West Virginia. A Life Well Celebrated Ceremony will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday ~ July 21, 2018 in Chapel of Carothers Funeral Home, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia, North Carolina with Reverend Josh Baer to deliver words of comfort and hope to Dottie’s family and friends.

Graveside and committal will follow in the Garden of Peace at Gaston Memorial Park. The family will receive guests from 10:00 AM ~ 11:00 AM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made in Dottie’s memory to the charity of choice.
