Obituary for Doug Allord Graveside services for Doug Allord, 84, of Cleburne will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 26, 2018 at the Rio Vista Cemetery. Visitation will be 11-12:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Doug Allord Jr. passed away October 24, 2018 in Irving.
He was born July 16, 1934 in Rio Vista, to Sims Nelson Alford and Imo Bess McGarity Alford. He was a veteran of the US Navy and worked in the sales and marketing industry. He was a private, no non sense man and was an avid Longhorn fan.
Doug was extremely active, walking and riding his bike for miles until he was in his 70’s. He is survived by his children Misty Lynn Fisher and husband Kelly, Brett Allord and Malissa Rivette and husband Al: 5 grandchildren, several great grandchildren; sister Jean Watson; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives. He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters Nora, Betty and Barbara, and brother Marvin.
