Douglas E. Kilian, 82, a lifelong resident of Hillside, passed away on February 2, 2019. Doug was the owner of Vanguard Offset Printers, Mailcraft, NJ Success Magazine and The Citizen Weekly Newspaper. He graduated from Hillside High School class of ’54 and then served in the US Army.

He was a hunter, fisherman and Honorable Kentucky Colonel, served in the army at Fort Knox. Douglas was predeceased by his beloved wife of 44 years Eileen Byre Kilian and his parents Agnes (Corrado) and Ernest Kilian. He is survived by his daughter Jessica (Scott) Jarmer of Ocean Grove; sister Sharon (P.

Richard) DeCicco of Bridgewater and grandchildren Michael, Sam & Molly. Visitation Friday 2 to 4pm & 7 to 9pm at the Growney Funeral Home 1070 N. Broad St. Hillside, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial 9am Saturday at St. Catherine of Siena Church 1000 N. Broad St. Hillside, NJ.

Interment Fairview Cemetery Westfield, NJ.
