Obituary of Dr. Christos Capellos Dr. Christos S. Capellos, 83, of Morris Plains, passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at Morristown Medical Center. Born in Greece, he came to the US in 1966 and became a US citizen on October 18, 1976. In 1959 he received his B.S. degree in Chemistry from Athens University.

He received his DIC in Nuclear Technology in 1962 and his PHD in Radiation Chemistry in 1965 from Imperial College, London. He worked at Brookhaven National Labs in Long Island, NY as a Research Associate from 1966-1968. He worked at Picatinny Arsenal from 1968-2010 when he retired as a Senior Research Scientist.

He is survived by his daughter Maria Henderson and her husband Jeff of Dover; two grandchildren Melina and Eleni. He was predeceased by his wife Eleni in 2005 and his daughter Melina in 2000. Visitation Tuesday, May 1, 2018, 4:00-8:00PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph.

Funeral Service Wednesday, May 2, 2018, 11:00AM, at St. Andrew Greek Orthodox Church, Randolph. Interment to follow at Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Andrew Greek Orthodox Church, 1447 Sus Turnpike, Randolph, NJ 07869.
