Obituary for Dr. Melvin S. Collin Dr Melvin S Collin, 83, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2018. He graduated in 1953 from Hughes High School, in Cincinnati. He then served in the US Army, earned his undergraduate degree and his degree in General Dentistry from the Ohio State University in 1965.

Mel practiced General Dentistry for 12 years in Toledo, from 1965-1977, then returned to OSU to earn his specialty degree in Periodontal Dentistry in 1979. Dr.Collin practiced Periodontics for 35 years. He was preceded in death by parents, Sam & Iona (Bradley)Collin and his brother, Jack.

He is survived by his children; Jonathon (Katy), Casey (Luana), Haley (Eric), and Brett; grandchildren: Brocke, Teyah, Ty, Addie and Ethan; and his sister Nancy (Jerry) Schwartz. Mel loved reading, playing golf, downhill skiing and anything OSU. A memorial service will be held Thursday, September 20th at 1:00 PM at the Epstein Memorial Chapel, 3232 E.
