He was born September 20, 1967 in Grand Rapids the son of Robert and Dorothy ( Hosmer ) Conklin. During his working year she worked as a truck driver for 27 years.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, horseback riding, rodeo’s and country music. Duane was a great father, uncle and son. Surviving are his children Catherine Conklin of Newaygo Samantha ( Derek ) Antol of Muskegon Colby Conklin of Big Rapids Many grandchildren Three sisters Terrie Christian of Newaygo Debra ( Shawn ) Hainlin of Rockford Sally ( Eric ) Bailey of Texas One brother Robert Conklin Jr. of Muskegon Very close friends Brian Nye of Muskegon and Tim ( Rose ) Crowley of Howard City And many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
