W. Duane Schmidt, 77, of American Fork, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2019. Duane is survived by his wife, Pat Schmidt, 4 children and 5 step-children: Jerry (Diana) Schmidt, Michelle (David) Spencer, Jon Schmidt, Jared Snedecor, Jamie Schmidt, Eric (Christi) Snedecor, Jannah (Troy) Weiler, Melissa (Dee) Snedecor-Deknibber, Jacob (Brittany) Snedecor, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Duane loved people and enjoyed serving others.

He loved music and was involved with the Mendelssohn Chorus for 35 years, most of that time serving as the director. He also enjoyed being outdoors, working on family history, and spending time with family. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 11:00 am in the LDS Chapel at 1100 E. 400 N. American Fork.

A viewing will be held Saturday from 9:30- 10:45 am prior to the services. Interment in the American Fork Cemetery In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Duane Schmidt memorial fund at Central Bank.
