Adrian Scott ‘Duce’ Ford of Lincoln Drive, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 27, 2018. Visitation will be 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:30 PM on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Brad Coates officiating.

Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, NM. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Duce Ford was born on September 29, 1993 in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

He graduated from Carlsbad High School in 2011, where he played football and baseball. Duce was an accomplished athlete during his youth. He was a member of the Shorthorn State champion Little League team in 2006.

Duce was a 4-year varsity letterman in baseball for the Carlsbad Cavemen. He also excelled in football for the Cavemen. Duce enjoyed hanging out with his buddies, hunting, fishing, racing remote cars, and keeping up with all sports; he was sports fanatic.

His favorite college team was Ohio State University Buckeyes. All of these activities were the main focus of his life until the birth of his daughter Kyleigh. The very day she was born, Duce’s priorities changed to her.

He spent all his spare time with her, and she was his pride, joy and entire world. Duce was known for his kind spirit, humbleness, infinite patience, and perfect smile when he would greet you. He worked for AKM Measurement and was a dedicated employee who excelled at his job.

Duce touched the lives of all that he met; he was quick with a laugh and always willing to lend a hand. He had a huge extended family who loved him and he will forever be in our hearts. He is survived by his mother, Kelli and Bo Bowen, his father, Scott and Angela Ford and his dad, Matt Hentrick and Tonya Carrell; his daughter Kyleigh Deborah Ford; siblings Tylan Hentrick, Aimee Hentrick, McKenna Ford, Brayden Ford, and his step-siblings, Bo Bowen (Jordan), Kaitlin Kleist (Logan), Taylor Faulkner, Tana Faulkner, Matthew Chavez, Jonathan Chavez.

Grandparents include Bo and Meg Smith, Treva and Leo Tweedy, Tom Hentrick, Tommy and Brandi Ford, Kathy and Mike Hopper as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Zach Bird, Michael Parraz, Ryan Parraz, James Allen, Casey McDonald, and Vicente Castillo. Honorary pallbearers will be Braden Ford, James Bailey, Tyler Strickland, Nick Pierce, and Andrew Franco.
