OBITUARY Earl Anthony Scioneaux Sr. August 24, 1931 – January 29, 2019 Earl Anthony Scioneaux, Sr. entered peacefully into heaven on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 with his loving family at his side. He is survived by his devoted wife, Lillian Fontana Scioneaux of 63 years. Loving father of Deborah Scioneaux Neff, Pamela Scioneaux Tapie, Earl Anthony Scioneaux, Jr. (Kathy) and Peter John Scioneaux.

A proud grandfather of Christopher Tapie (Mindi), Corie Tapie (Skylar), Shelby Strong (Rickey), Sara Scioneaux and great grandfather of Blake Tapie, Jax Tapie, Jules Tapie, and Remy Strong. Son of the late Florence Willis Scioneaux and Elfer Scioneaux. Brother of Esther Jackson, Robert Scioneaux and preceded in death by Louis Scioneaux, Freddy Scioneaux and Elaine Schaller.

He is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age 87, a native of Algiers, Louisiana and a lifelong resident of Gretna, Louisiana. Earl retired from Avondale Ship Yard after many years of service as a mechanic.

Upon retirement, he loved-telling jokes, casinos, crafting items out of wood, but mostly spending time with his family and friends. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of Passages Hospice for the care given to their spouse and father. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expy.

, Marrero, LA on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 12:00 noon. Visitation from 9:00 am to Mass time. Interment following in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
