Larsen, 95, of Miller Township, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019. Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, May 26, 2019 at Stavanger Lutheran Church with Rev. Richard Ewing officiating.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. prior to services Sunday at the church. Burial will be in Section Cemetery across from his home. Earl was born on January 10, 1924, a half mile south of Stavanger, to Ernest and Nellie (Stangland) Larsen.

On September 28, 1946, he married Maxine Peirson of Marseilles, who survives. He graduated from Section Grade School, Seneca High School Class of 1941, and attended Eureka College. He served as Miller Township Justice of the Peace, on the Miller Township Board for twenty-eight years, the Milton Pope School Board, and he acted as the Stavanger Cemetery ton for fifty years.

Earl was a lifelong member of the Stavanger Lutheran Church where he served as Treasurer, Council Member, and also taught Sunday school for sixty years. He was a lifelong farmer, woodworker, inventor, and loved to play golf with his many friends. He is survived by his wife, Maxine of 72 ½ years; his sons, Scott (Daria) Larsen of rural Marseilles and Todd (Michele) Larsen of Sun Prairie, WI; one grandson, Colton Earl Larsen; and one sister, Betty Tendall.

He was preceded in death by his one sister, Marjorie Sand and her husband, Robert Sand; one brother, Curtis and his wife, Geraldine Larsen; and a brother-in-law, Wesley Tendall.
