James, born May 22, 1949 departed on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at Ochsner hospital in New Orleans, LA. at age of 70 years old. He was a graduate of Vernon High School, a member of Plainview Church of Christ Holiness U. S. A. and he worked at Magee Feed Mill in Franklinton, LA for over 30 years.

He was known for his smile large as the sun and he was loved by many. He leaves to cherish his memories his soulmate Cynthia Harvey-James, mother-in-law Norma Harvey, a former wife Winona Magee James and three daughters Shelia James Jefferson, Chassidy James Murray, and Felicia James. Eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren; three sisters Lenora Young of Cleveland Ohio, Jenella Burris and Vivian James both of Franklinton, LA; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home, 2000 Washington Street, Franklinton and the service will be held Monday, June 3, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Crain and Sons Funeral Home- Franklinton are in charge of arrangements.
