Edna (Emberg) Bish March 27, 1933 – December 23, 2018 Edna (Emberg) Bish, 85 Edna Bish, 85, Punxsutawney, died suddenly after a fall on December 23, 2018, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was born March 27, 1933, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Eliza Jane (Chapman) and Oscar Emberg. On July 16, 1953, she married Robert D. “Bob” Bish, who survives.

They celebrated sixty-five years of marriage together. Edna was a graduate of the Punxsutawney High School Class of 1951. She attended church at the Canoe Ridge Church of God and most recently at the First Church of God of Punxsutawney.

She worked for Pramco out of high school until her children were born and became a homemaker and cleaned for people and businesses around Punxsutawney. She enjoyed shopping, traveling, cooking and baking, reading cookbooks, and Sunday afternoon drives with Bob, but most of all she loved being with her family. In addition to her husband Bob, Edna is survived by three sons, David Bish and wife Tammy of Punxsutawney, Kevin Bish and wife Brigitte of Millvale, and Keith Bish and wife Julie of Pittsburgh; nine grandchildren, Marc Abraham and wife Jennifer, Kellee Gouldthorpe and husband Dean, Skylar and Dakota Bish, Ariana and Makenna Bish, and Jessica DeCarlo and husband Zakk, Emmie, and Sarah Bish; a great-grandson Connor Abraham; son-in-law Howard “Tink” Abraham of Casselberry, FL; a sister Born: March 27, 1933 Place of Birth: Punxsutawney, PA Death: December 23, 2018 Place of Death: Pittsburgh, PA Survived By: Robert D. “Bob” Bish, Spouse David Bish, Son Kevin Bish, Son Keith Bish, Son Nine Grandchildren, One Great Grandson, Howard “Tink” Abraham, Son-In-Law Sara Burkhardt, Sister Edwin Emberg, Brother >Preceded By: Eliza Jane (Chapman) Emberg, Mother Oscar Emberg, Father Brenda L. Abraham, Daughter Thelma Bianco, Sister Ellen Gaston, Sister Eugene Emberg, Brother Leonard Emberg, Brother Sara Burkhardt of Punxsutawney; and twin brother Edwin Emberg and wife Marie of Punxsutawney.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter Brenda L. Abraham; two sisters, Thelma Bianco and Ellen Gaston; and two brothers, Eugene and Leonard Emberg. Friends will be received from 1 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m., Friday, December 28, 2018, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney. Additional visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, December 29, 2018, at the First Church of God of Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, December 29, 2018, at the First Church of God officiated by Pastors Greg Smith, Earl Flick, and John Swanger. Interment will be in Circle Hill Cemetery, Punxsutawney. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Canoe Ridge Church of God, 3827 Church Road, Rossiter, PA 15772, or to the First Church of God, 23 Skyview Drive, Punxsutawney, PA 15767, or to the Salvation Army, 229 West Mahoning Street, Punxsutawney, PA 15767.
