Edna M. “Honey” Henwood, 88, of Howard, died Sunday December 9, 2018 at Country Court, in Mount Vernon, surrounded by her loved ones. Honey was born January 15, 1930 in Mount Vernon, Ohio to George and Marjorie {Thatcher} Taylor. She graduated from Danville High School in 1949.

She married John “Jack” Henwood in 1948. They were married for over 40 years until John passed in 1989. Honey worked for many years for Continental Can.

However, she spent most of her years as a loving wife and mother. She was an active member of Howard Church of Christ. Honey was in a euchre club and garden club.

She was an extremely generous loving person who would do anything for anyone. Honey will be deeply missed by her children John (Lorraine) Henwood of Danville, and Doug (Judy) Henwood of Howard; grandchildren JC, Jai, Gina, Jay, and Joni; ten great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandson Honey was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her sister Lee Baker, and her loving companion Charles Metcalfe. Graveside services will be Wednesday at 2:00 at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, with Bryan Wolf Officiating.
