Swanton – Edward Allen Pilon a lifelong area resident passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at the Northwestern Medical Center. Born in St. Albans on June 17, 1954, he was the son of the late Edward Joseph and Evelyn Ruth (Bessette) Pilon. Ed was 64 years old.

He married Debra Stevens, who survives him on March 21, 2009, at their home in Swanton. Ed was a 1972 graduate of Bellows Free Academy and then began a long career in the parts business beginning with Georgia… Read More » Auto Parts, Bourbeau Equipment, Fineline Power Sports & Equipment and at the time of his passing, Champlain Valley Equipment. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed riding his motorcycles.

In addition to his wife, Debra, he is survived by his sons, Trevor Pilon and his fiancé, Melissa Latimer, of Williston and Ian Pilon and his girlfriend, Jayla Ives, of Swanton as well as his granddaughter, Ella Pilon. He is also survived by his step-children, Gale Bessette and her significant other, CJ Amos, and her son, Conner, and Anthony Bessette and his sons, Bryson and Anthony; his sister, Rachel Pilon Carriveau and her husband, Frank, of Montpelier and many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, Ed was predeceased by a nephew, Frank Carriveau.

There will be no public calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 19, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 245 Lake Street, St. Albans. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
