Edward D. Freyer, age 67, of Elizabeth, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at home. A Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam War, he was a planerman for Generations Stoneworks in McKeesport. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Born August 5, 1950 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Charles and Genevieve (Daugherty) Freyer. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Deborah (Barker) Freyer; sons, James (Carrie Finney) Berggren and Brian (Marcella) Freyer, both of Elizabeth; grandchildren, Logan and Kylie Freyer and Braylon Soffa; sisters, Joyce Scharer of Derry, Linda (Ken) Rothbauer of Elizabeth and Debbie (Rick) Roma of Elizabeth; brothers, Charles (Katie) Freyer of West Mifflin, Dale (Terri) Freyer of Elizabeth and Walt (Nancy) Freyer of Deltaville, VA; sister-in-law, Linda Freyer of Irwin; also, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Bob Freyer.

The family would like to thank Three Rivers Hospice for their care and support. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from 6-8 PM and Wednesday from 1-3 and 5 until the time of service at 7 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jude Urso officiating.
