Ed was born on March 26, 1933 in Kewanee, the son of Edward Frederick, Sr., and Ruth S. (Schmidt) Fussner. He married Faye N. Stabler on January 26, 1957 in Kewanee; she preceded him in death on July 25, 2005 in Toulon.
