Edward J. Brandl 98, of Plano, Texas, passed away on September 3, 2018. Born in Pittsburgh on February 14, 1920 beloved son to Herman and Francis Brandl. Loving brother to his late siblings Elizabeth (Ralph) Carr, Robert (Marie) Brandl, Agnes Brandl, Herman (Edith) Brandl, Francis Brandl and Sister Anna Marie Brandl OSF.

Edward is survived by several neices and nephews: Peggy Willard (Tom), Robert Brandl Jr. (Becky), James Brandl (Laura), Jack Brandl, Judy Marini (Mike), Jerry Brandl (Lorena), Mary Carr, Barbara ODonnell (Kevin), Ralph Carr Jr. (Karyn), Jane Long (Rich), Patrick Carr (Joanne), Timothy Carr (Jamie), Many Great neices and nephews. Edward was a pilot in the Army Air Corps during World War 2 flying in the Pacific theatre. He had a long 40 plus years career, retiring from General Motors Friends will be received on Tuesday, September 14 , 2018, from 4–8 pm at the Cieslak & Tatko Funeral Home and Cremation Services; 2935 Brownsville Rd.

Pittsburgh, PA 15227 A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am. Wednesday, September 15, 2018 at St Sylvester’s Catholic Church Interment will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with full military honors.
