The Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst is assisting the family with arrangements. Eddie ” Dad” loved to fish and hunt with his daughter and grandsons. A memory I will never forget with also a great lesson behind it.
I was sitting in the deer stand with him, and you better not make a move for nothing or an elbow would be in your ribs. Also you should never get out of your stand until you have your buck or it’s the end of the day. Good lessons learned and what makes me a great hunter from him.
He enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his family. He took pride in his farm and potato crops. He enjoyed restoring tractors with his grandsons John and Bryan.
Most recently working on a 1940 Moline U tractor, that his father had purchased for him over 60 years ago. He was looking forward to tightening the last bolt on the tractor this month. Just last month Bryan and dad got the Moline running and he heard it tear down the road, it made him so happy he had tears in his eyes.
We all know he will be with us in heart, mind, and spirit. Especially every time he hears that tractor fire up! He will be greatly missed but never forgotten, especially his famous sayings we all loved to hear.
Dad, I love you! The family would like to thank Dr. Soman and the staff at St. Michaels ICU. A great huge thank you to his caretakers: Ellen Richter, Judy Marquard, Bryan and Paula To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Edward J. Karch Jr. please visit our Sympathy Store.
