Edward John Knapick of Youngstown passed away on Wednesday, June 6 at 7:45 p.m. at his residence. He was 92. Mr. Knapick was born in Shamokin, PA on December 27, 1925, the son of the late Joseph and Lucy Dusman Knapich.

Edward was of Catholic Faith. He attended Youngstown State University and Cleveland Community College studying courses involving Business and Real Estate. He worked as a truck driver for many years, but Mr. Knapick truly enjoyed working in real estate and caring for and selling properties.

Edward proudly served our country in the United States Marines during the World War II participating in the action at Iwo Jima. He is survived by 2 daughters, Mary Lou (Dave) Rowe of Lowellville, and Karen (Tom) York of Southington; 2 sons, Eddie Knapick of Youngstown, and Mike (Patty) Knapick of Hubbard; 6 grandchildren, Michael Knapick of Youngstown, Anthony (Erica) Knapick of Boardman, Nick (Gena) Rowe of Heath, Lauren Rowe of Columbus, Kristen (Bryan) Cramer of Brooksville, FL, and Matt York of Champion; and 7 great grandchildren, Brandon, Reagan, and Cameron Knapick, June, Emmy and Nico (due in September) Rowe, and Moxie Cramer. In addition to his parents, Edward was proceeded in death by 3 older brothers; Mel, Joe and Oliver.

At Edward’s request there will be no calling hours. The family wishes to thank Grace Hospice for their compassion and care. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Wm Nicholas Funeral Home & Cremation Services 614 Warren Ave.
