Obituary of Edward Scott Edward B. Scott, a lifelong area resident, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at his home in Monticello, surrounded by his loving family. He was 78. The son of the late Chancellor Forbes Scott and Beatrice Burger Scott, he was born April 6, 1940 in South Fallsburg.

He was the widower of Beverly “Gig” Price Scott, who predeceased him in 2013. Ed was a longtime devoted employee of 57 years with Fallsburg Lumber Co. An avid fisherman, he also enjoyed traveling, flea marketing, and spending time with family for dinners and BBQ’s. He is survived by two sons: Edward A. Scott and his wife Louise of Monticello, and Jason Scott of Monticello; five grandchildren: Heather, Amanda, Christina, Alexandria and Trevor; and also, many wonderful great grandchildren whom he all loved.

A graveside service and interment of his ashes will be held on Saturday, June 30th at 1:00pm at the Messenger Cemetery, Southwoods Drive in Monticello with Rev. Roy Shaffer officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society www.
