Obituary of Edward Kristie, Sr. Edward S. Kristie Sr., age 95, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Rita Dever Kristie, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 02, 2019 with his loving family by his side. Born in Bridgeport on February 15, 1923, he was a son of the late Stanley and Pauline Salik Kryskiewicz. A U.S. Army Air Corp veteran, Ed was a Radio Mechanic during WW II.

Before his retirement, he was an employee of Heim Manufacturing for many years. A weather enthusiast, he could often be found tracking weather patterns and his accuracy rivaled many a weatherman. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him.

In addition to his beloved wife of 72 years, Rita, survivors include two loving sons, Edward S. Kristie Jr., and his wife Elaine and James D. Kristie and his wife Linda all of Monroe, six grandchildren, Laura Kristie Fulton and her husband Jeffrey, Michael E. Kristie and his wife Elena, Amanda Kristie McAndrew and her husband Kevin, and Brendan, Ryan and Alan Kristie, five great grandchildren Alexander, Vera, Harper, Cecelia and Thomas; a sister, Elizabeth A. Vernon, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Chester Kryskiewicz and a sister Irene Roma. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa’s Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial.

Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday from 4 – 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made to GBS|CIDP Foundation International 375 East Elm Street, Suite 101, Conshohocken, PA 19428.
