EFFIE WALKER COX, age 93 of Dandridge, TN passed away Saturday evening, February 2, 2019 at Jefferson Park of Dandridge. She was born and raised in Dandridge, TN the daughter of the late Sharp and Selma (Killon) Walker. Effie was a member of the Mt.

Zion United Methodist Church and was retired from Magnavox where she worked for many years in bookkeeping as a. junior accountant. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vern Cox and several sisters and brothers and is survived by her children, David (Joyce) Cox and Mary (Jimmy) Haynes; grandchildren, Brian (Alisha) Cox, David (Becky) Haynes and Lisa (Joe) Iovine; step-grandchildren, Evan (Maria) Wilkenson and Bret Wilkenson and his son Luca; great-grandchildren, Brady Cox, Bowden Haynes, Jake Iovine, Landry Haynes and Susanna (Spencer) Riley; great-great grandson, Hudson Riley; brother, S.G. Walker, Jr. and sister, Louise Lawson; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, 2:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.

John Thompson and Rev. David Haynes officiating. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
