EILEEN F. SEMEL Age 94 of Elmira, NY died on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Elcor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. THERE WILL BE NO CALLING HOURS. FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT CONGREGATION KOL AMI 1008 W.WATER STREET ELMIRA, ON FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 23 AT 2:00PM.

INTERMENT TO FOLLOW IN FRANKLIN STREET CEMETERY, ELMIRA. RABBI DR. OREN STEINITZ OFFICIATING.

Flowers are gratefully declined. Those wishing may make memorial donations in Eileen’s memory to Congregation Kol Ami Security Fund 1008 W. Water Street Elmira, NY 14905. Eileen is survived by her loving sons & their families; Michael (Rose) Semel of Van Etten, NY, Alan (Jessica) Semel of Beachwood, OH; daughter-in-law, April Semel of Elmira; grandchildren, Anne (Zack Squires) Semel, Beth (Max Duhe) Semel, Rebecca Semel, Kari Semel, Jamie Semel, Valerie (Keith) Button, Krystal Kinney, Herb (Colleen) Kinney; great grandchildren, Olivia Squires, Nate Button, Daniel Button, Charlotte Dunn, Bryce Dunn, Elaina Kinney, Joseph Kinney, Kevin Kinney and many nieces & nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, Morris & Lena Fidelman; son, Steven Semel; husband, Samuel Semel; sisters, Anne Shulman, Ruth Kornfeld, June Fidelman . Eileen was born on July 23, 1924 in Elmira, NY. She attended E.F.A. and Elmira Business Institute.

Eillen was the co-owner of Chemung Electronics. She volunteered at the Steele Memorial Library, and was a member of Congregation Kol Ami & Hadassah. The family gives a special thank you to Dr. Debnath & Denise Kirkendall at Arnot Health; management & staff at Woodbrook and Elcor for their loving compassionate care of Eileen and our Family.
