Margaret Elaine McKeon Buckley, widow of Christopher H. Buckley died on February 1,2019. Born May 25,1918 in Albany, N.Y., she was the daughter of Dr. Francis J. McKeon and Margaret Cross Rosselle McKeon. She was a graduate of the Albany Girls’ Academy and the College of St. Rose, and also attended Wellesley College.

With her husband and children, she had lived for several years in North Haven, CT and later Scarsdale, NY. They returned to Connecticut in 1953 living in Cheshire where Mr. Buckley died in 1997. ln 2002, she became a resident of Whitney Center in Hamden, CT and for four years was President of its Residents’ Council and a member of its Board of Directors.

She was a longtime member of the Quinnipiack Club and the New Haven Country Club. She is survived by her daughter, Lucy Buckley Maloney-Walsh (Robert) of Greenwich, CT and Naples, Florida and by two sons Christopher H. Buckley (Marguerite) of lslamorada, Florida and Mclean, Virginia and Francis McKeon Buckley (Donna) of Marlborough, CT. Her youngest son, Mark Gerard Buckley died in 1964.

Mrs. Buckley also leaves ten grandchildren, Marcia Buckley Thompson of Brookville, Maryland (Mark), Mary Buckley Harmon of lpswich, Massachusetts (Steven), Moira Buckley Kestenband of Marlborough, Connecticut (Jeffrey), Michelle Buckley of Louisville, Colorado, Monica Buckley Boyce of Springfield, Virginia (Brandon), Marisa Buckley Nessier of Millwood, New York (Blair), Dr. Mark Raymond Buckley of Henrietta, New York (Jane), Christopher Buckley Kerson of Jackson Heights, New York (Hyewon), Sheila Maloney Walsh of Floral Park, New York(Kevin) and Lisa Kerson Frohlich of East Hampton, New York (Steven). Mrs. Buckley was the proud great grandmother of 20 great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning at 10:00 in St. Rita Church, Whitney Ave.

, Hamden. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands,NY. Friends may call at Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Ave.
