Jean M. Scialabba, of Hamden passed away February 2, 2019 in Branford Hills Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late James D. Scialabba, DMD. Born in New Haven October 11, 1920, daughter of the late Romolo “Victor” and Zenobia Barnabei Pacapelli, Jean was a graduate of the St. Francis School of Nursing.

She was a member of the Farms Country Club, the New Haven Dental Association- Women’s Auxiliary, and a longtime parishioner of St. Rita Church. While Jean enjoyed gardening, cooking, playing golf and bridge, she always put her beloved family first. She is the mother of James P.(Karen), Robert (Jean), and Stephen (Laurie) Scialabba.

Sister of the late Helen Massari, Laura Altieri, Carl Pacapelli, and Raymond Pace. Also survived by 8 loving grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held in the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc. 11 Wooster Place in New Haven Tuesday morning from 8:30-9:30.

A Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday morning at 10 in Divine Mercy Parish at St. Rita Church 1620 Whitney Avenue in Hamden. Entombment will follow in St. Lawrence Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Hartford: Development Office 839-841 Asylum Ave.
